    Reviews for Philips PET7402/37 7-Inch Dual Screen Portable DVD Player with Car Mount, Black (Electronics) We installed the participant unit for our (currently) simplest child, 2 yrs old, and it immediately made car trips extra stress-free. Setting it up and putting in it was straightforward and quick. Image quality was once excelent, audio no lengthyer very good, however completely acceptable (Star Wars is now not going to be that groovy, but Sesame Street is fine).

    My only grievance to this point, and it hasn't been a problem but, is the somewhat brief (6') cable that joins the player unit to the 2ndary display. If you're hoping to cover the cabling alongside the side of the seat, and even within the seat, that most definitely won't be sufficient. The different problem is that there isn't any inside power, and no solution to power it as hostile to residence or a car (meaning, it isn't useful on an airplane, until you be prepared to get a seat with an influence jack).
    Reviews for Philips PET7402/37 7-Inch Dual Screen Portable DVD Player with Car Mount, Black (Electronics) dual screens for two kids... no want for them to crane their necks to a significant spot with viewing perspective issues.

    they are light-weight, low-cost feeling plastic devices. the shows are proper and youngsters will now not now notice their relatively bad high quality - my transportable panasonic dvd player's display is way better! sound is type of tinny. because of the streamlined design, probably the most keep watch overs are onerous to make use of and i might be able to foresee youngsters having just a little hassle with them. as quickly as setup although, simplest factors to adjust are probably the direction/play howevertons on the face of the major unit, extent controls and on/off switches.

    they use a belt clip that just loops around the headrest and are prolonged sufficient to get around my honda pilot's headrests. simple and effective.

    it comes with a standard plug-in power that can be utilized for the principle unit but, not the 2nd unit. the auto plug-in energy cable, which could be very long, break ups to energy both units. a single 1/8" plug A/V cable joins the two devices. it also came with a 1/8" inch plug to a split yellow (video), and red/white (stereo sound) cable adapter. it's essential use it to join your major unit to any other tv if you are taking a seem to have. both gadgets have headphone jacks which i did not check but. simplest the main unit has a flip out stand (as shown in the picture) with the intention to watch it on a desk.

    so principally, this is "cheap and cheerful." i give it 4 stars as a consequence of for the fee, it's a very nice unit. simple to setup and install, and it works positive.

    i hope it lasts...
    Reviews for Philips PET7402/37 7-Inch Dual Screen Portable DVD Player with Car Mount, Black (Electronics) Great for maintaining the kidren occupied on a protracted commute. If you will have a tall spouse, simply be positive that the monitors are out of kicking range for the younger kids.

    Pros:
    1. Great image.
    2. Good value for a dual headed unit.
    3. Obviously - entertains the youngsterren!
    4. Audio out, in case your car has an aux in, which you may plug this in and get the sounds from the automotive audio system (if you actually want to hear the youngsters movies).

    Cons:
    1. No storage bag to prevent the displays/units from getting scratched.
    2. Controls are on the "main" unit and if you should not have an outdateder youngster capable of operating the gadget, you will want to remove to vary movies and superstart the following one.

    <EDIT>
    After the 2nd use these devices stopped functioning. Just stopped spinning up the disc and says Phillips Loading. Naturally this was once found out as we're half-hour right into a 4.5 hour street travel. 10-15 days for a replacement does not fix it. Rest of the commute I heard, "Daddy restore it."

    <EDIT-2 9/21/09>
    After waithing three weeks, I called in to check on the standing, and so they by no implys generated the request to ship the replacement! Now they're telling me 3-4 weeks on prime of the various weeks I already have not had it. If I may alternate the rating to 1 famous person, that additionally would not be high enough.

    <EDIT-3 10/8/09>
    Adding insult to injury... the alternative was as quickly as obtained, so much quicker than acknowledged. Kudos. However, they sent an previouser version, which has even worse reviews than this present version. AND... considering that it's a refurb, it handiest has a ninety day warranty. This isn't a product you utilize incessantly, and I most probably cannot comprehend that it has failed till we take a seat within the car for the next long go again and forth.

    <EDIT-4 10/14/09>
    I contacted Philips in regards to the older version being acquired, and bought a friendly CSR, Dwayne. He completely agreed with me, and did everything in his energy to get the difficulty resolved, and escalated up the tiers. I got a call again and they stated that that is their coverage to exchange with a similar variation. I informed the supervisor that this is a more price-effective edition, my unit failed after one use and this used to be utterly unacceptable.
